Urulu is a sacred place. The aboriginal people of the area lived there. The area around the formation is home to abundance of springs, waterholes, Rock coves and ancient paintings. Uluru is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Uluru and Kata Tjuta, also known as the olgas, are the two major features of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Kata Tjuta
The 39 dome that make up Kata Tjuta cover are composed of copnglomerate
a sedimentary rock consting of granite and basalt.
The highest dome, Mount mately 546m above the surrouding plain. Kata Tjuta Is located at the eastern end of the Docker River Road.
